Create A Printer From ur Web Browser

Mainly there are two ways of adding a printer 2 your computer…most command method is to attach your printer to LPT1 port and install a printer…this is also known as local printer…

The other method is to attach a network printer…this is mostly used in domain environment ever u get 1 or 2 printers for the whole department…

When your adding a network printer there are 3 options…in this article I’ll be explaining you how to connect to a printer over the intranet…

To do this client computer must fulfill these requirements

1)client computer should have IIS installed

2)it should be connected to a network(workgroup or domain)..

First add a new printer to your server machine or to your printer server…once your installing give a share name for the printer and share it..eg”HP840c”

Next step is to configure the client

In the client computer go to internet explorer and

first type http://localhost and verify that u have installed IIS…

once ur sure tht u hav IIS installed type

http://yourservername/printers/yourprintername/.printer

if can’t correctly remember your printer or when u have installed several printers u can type  http://yourservername/printers and view all the printer attached to your server

once you have selected your printer click connect…then Windows Xp will automatically install the printer in your server to your client machine

Now your done installing your printer….see how easy and user friendly it is…you jst have to know your server name and type it in your web browser…this is easy as browsing the net…

Once u have installed u can use the same URL(Uniform Resource Locater) and manage ur printer…

Microsoft Outlook 2003 is the best mail client I have ever seen…here are some very use full tips for u…

 

Add a Shortcut for Creating a New E-mail

First of all create a shortcut and direct it to Outlook…eg” "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE"”…

Once u have finished creating the shortcut right click and go to properties..

In the target text field after closing quotation mark add /c ipm.note switch…make sure u keep a space between the quotation mark and the / key..click apply and close…once u double click it it’ll open new email windows..u can simply drag and drop it to ur quick launch bar and save ur time..so when ever u want to write a mail u don’t want to open outlook and click new mail u can just click ur quick launch bar shortcut and access it..

 

Here are some other switchers u can use

Creating a New Note = /c ipm.stickynote

Creating a New Appointment =/c ipm.appointment

Creating a New Journal Entry =/c ipm.activity

Creating a New Contact = /c ipm.contact

Creating a New Task =/c ipm.task

Start from a selected user profile = /profile, (After comma keep a space and give the                                                                   profile name)

 

As I have mentioned earlier u can create customized shortcuts to carryout certain task of Microsoft Outlook without opining the main application…

Furthermore for these shortcuts u can add different inbuilt Outlook Icons too

Select ur Outlook Shortcut right click and go to properties..select change icon..

Windows Media Player 11

I shifted back to Windows Media Player

i installed Windows Media Player 11 today…phew…it’s awesome…sound quality is unmatched…earlier I used Winamp…I have been a fan of winamp since the very beginning…since version 2…but after installing WMP I don’t think anyone will need another software to play your song files..Media Player 11 comes with lots of visual enhancements…

There’s new feature added called “Auto Playlist”…this generates an auto play list according to criteria u select…WMP11 automatics queries according to your requirements and makes ur new play list…

 

U can press CTRL+M and get ur classic menu bar…

There are two new additional ripping formats u can use when ur ripping cds..

For the first time WMP11 supports Wav ripping..

there are few new tabs under options

there’s new tab called Burn where u can customize ur cd burning feature..

there’s another new tab called DVD..in this tab u assign movie rating and media player wont play movies according to the rating

these are the changes Microsoft had done to the new WMP…i luv media player 11

 

 

I Watched MI 3

Today I went to watch MI3 with my friends…we planned to come my house and go to watch the movie together….but everything got messed by when received a call saying tht one of my friend is having a class n he can’t shift it….then we planned to meet him @ Kolpity and then go…my other friend harindra came to my house @ 11.05…I was expecting him around 10.30…we left my house @ 11.20 and reached kolpity sharp @ 12…I sent few msgs and tried to contact devmith…but didn’t get a reply….so me and my friend haren thought tht he had left it @ home…when we went to liberty to reserve we got to know that the show is @ 1.30 and we can’t reserve rear stall tickects….so we thought of going to ROOTs and have a drink…Mocca coffee @ ROOTs is awesome…we reached back to kolpity around 12.35 but still no answer from devmith…but I kept on msging him and telling him where to come…

Finally he made it…he came to liberty while we were waiting to buy tickets…

Abt the movie

Movie is super cool….it’s the best out of the MI series….i hav watched all 3 I think this is the best…one thing I noticed is that everybody laughed for dat “Anjalika” movie preview done by Channa….i guess he’s bit over acting in that and he tries to become SHK…I really enjoyed the movie and I really recommend u guys to go and watch it…it’s worth paying 160 and watching it…

 

My First Visit 2 Hassan’s Plc

Today I went to hassan’s house…mainly to fix his computer..coz I was sure it was effected by an virus…when I checked I was rite….it was infected by a virus called w32.Blankmail…I backed up everything and formatted da disk…after installing XP I installed Symantec Antivirus 9.0…after tht I scanned the whole computer then I found over 350 threats in da D drive…anyway now it’s up and running…all the viruses were deleted…plus I installed IE7 and Messenger Beta…I’m lookin forward for his comments about da two beta software…anyway it was really fun their…I enjoyed a lot…

I got 4 new Movies

today i got 4 movies…

narniya,saw1,saw2,legend of the zoro,the medallion and hulk

i watched narniya..it's superb….it's a nice disney movie….

half way i watched Zoro…it's not bad…but da last 1 is better(Mask of the zoro)

i'm gonna watch da rest of zoro!!!!!!

 edit:i finished watching it…..well it's not tht good..

but narniya is great…it's da best movie hav hav seen for da past 6months

 

I’m Making My First Game

I don’t know how dis idea came to me…but today in the morning while I was thinking…this idea came in to my head…Yes..to make a game…

I’ll be working on this from today…little by little I will develop it using my free time….

I’ll tell about the game later…there are loads of stuff to do befor making it really…coz I have to see whether I can completely do it with VB6 platform…
